Our topic this term is

"Magical Journey"

What are we learning about?

Our topic this term is called "Magical Journey"

This term our topic has a literacy focus. We will be reading and listening to Traditional tales such as Jack and the Beanstalk and 3 Billy Goats Gruff - we will be encouraging the children to take on roles from the different stories, developing their oracy and listening skills. 

In literacy will be writing for different purposes, and continuing to develop our letter formations.  We are focusing on sentence writing, ensuring we have a capital letter to begin and a full stop to end. 

We are encouraging the children to write phonetically along with spelling 'red' words.

In numeracy this term we will be focusing on number- we will continue to focus on recognising numbers, writing numbers and ordering numbers to 10 then moving on to 20. 

Key Information

1. Book bags should be returned to school on a Thursday and they will be sent home on a Friday. 

2. PE will take place on a Monday afternoon. 

3. Please can you ensure that all items of clothing are labelled with names. 

4. Water and fruit can be brought to school for snack.
