Why do we have an Eco Committe?
The Eco Commitee is an ideal opportunity for pupils to get more involved in how our school is run and help it to be environmentally friendly. The council benefits the whole school, pupils and teachers as it provides pupils to communicate their ideas and be fully involved in decision making.
Pupils will develop such skills as communication, confidence and negotiation.
What do we do?
Members of the Eco Commitee take part in discussions and votes and also feed back any information to their classes. Members regularly meet Miss Davies to discuss their ideas.
This term we organised a food collection as part of our Harvest Festival. All food was donated to our local food bank. Our harvest coin collection raise £97 towards church repairs.

Our up-coming events
Here are some of our Foundation Phase pupils carrying out their healthy eating week activities.
Dosbarth Acorn have been painting with Fair-Trade coffee. We have also been hunting for the Fair-Trade logo when creating a fair trade lunch box.
Chestnut class sorted fairtrade and non-fairtrade foods. They also had fun cutting, peeling and smelling fairtrade foods.
Dosbarth Maple went on a Fairtrade scavenger hunt, and even used some of the products we found to make some delicious treats!
Dosbarth Oak focused on Climate change and the affect that it is having around the world. Here are some examples of our work.
British Science Week
Dosbarth Acorn made lava lamps using water and oil. We loved to watch the bubbles.
We also made butter. We had to shake the jar really fast!
