Hello everyone!

What have you done today to make yourself proud?

To Parents/Guardians and our pupils,

During this period of unsettled times we would like you to know that all the staff here at Penrhiwceibr Primary School will be working hard to provide you with lots of ideas for home learning. As you know we are already setting work on Purple Mash and MyMaths. Classes 3, 5, 6 and 7 are all now set up and using Google classroom. Log in using your Hwb accounts. Classes 1, 2 and 3 may ask you to use seesaw to share work - log in details will be text to you.

As parents though please be assured that we understand the pressures of home learning and that it is not realistic for you to expect your children to work from 9 am until 3:20 pm. You need to fit their learning experiences around your personal and home tasks. As a school we would suggest that you try to engage your children in set activities for about 2 hours a day. Splitting this up into 'chunks' to prevent unnecessary stress on both children and adults.

The most important thing that you, as parents/guardians, can do is keep your children safe, happy and to provide them with lots of reading, talking, listening and sharing activities.

Staff will be providing learning activities for their class. Initially general tasks will be set but after Easter a more comprehensive plan of learning will be provided. These will be outlined on their class page and provide links when and where necessary. Pupils will be asked to complete tasks and staff will read, mark and send comments back. Staff will try to provide work for a week but please don't expect your child to do all tasks in one go.

Below are some general links for to use. The links for HWB, Purple Mash and MyMaths are on our home page.

Thank you all for your continued support and stay well and safe.

Mr Vaughannand all the staff.
