Our topic this term is
'Amazing places, Near and Far'
What are we learning about?
This term, our humanities topic is Amazing Places Near and Far.
In this topic, students will explore the world around them and beyond. We will investigate our local area to learn about its history, culture, and important places. Students will also discover amazing places further afield, comparing different environments, cultures, and ways of life.
Through this learning, students will develop skills in geography and history by asking questions, researching, and sharing ideas. This topic encourages curiosity, respect, and appreciation for the diverse places and people that make up our world.
Key information
- Swimming lessons will take place during Spring term on Wednesdays.
- Reading books will need to be brought to school daily- Please read with your child every night.
- Spelling words will be sent home on a Friday, please help your child to learn these. They will be tested on the words every Friday.
- Homework will be given out on a Friday and will need to be returned to school by Tuesday.
- Water and fruit can be brought into school for snack- please label these
- Please ensure all items of clothing are labelled with names.
