Dear Parents and Carers,
I am delighted to be writing to you as the new Headteacher of the school. It is a privilege to join this community and I am looking forward to getting to know Penrhiwceibr’s children and their families over the coming weeks and months.
From my first visit to the school, it has been clear that this is a school with a strong sense of community and a school where staff work hard to provide the best opportunities for our children. I am keen to spend the next few months listening, learning and understanding what makes the school special and to build on the many strengths already in place. I am keen to hear your views and will be arranging opportunities for you to meet with me during the next term. However, in the meantime please do not hesitate to say hello when you see me around the school.
The values that are particularly important to me are respect, responsibility and resilience. In school, this means treating others with kindness and consideration, taking ownership of our actions and choices, and showing determination when things feel challenging. I believe these values help children grow as confident, thoughtful and responsible individuals and I will be working with the school community to promote these values through all aspects of school life.
Thank you for your continued support of the school. I am excited about the journey ahead and look forward to working with you all.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs L Tudge
Headteacher
